Writing for Green is committed to achieving a more equitable and just society. Beyond our desire to help our clients win grant funding, we support their efforts to achieve positive outcomes. Our training, coaching, and writing services are intended to help our clients maximize their impact.
Among the outcomes pursued by our clients and partners through an equity lens are better air quality; clean energy/ transportation; climate change adaptation/ mitigation strategies and the equitable distribution of public resources to implement them; heightened individual and community agency in decision-making; improved resilience in the face of climate-driven disasters; improved health and safety via new laws/regulations; decreased exposure to environmental hazards; and more.
Our clients and partners recognize that environmental justice intersects with everything from health care, to housing affordability, to life expectancy. They also recognize that the effects of climate change and environmental degradation are not experienced equally, and that pre-existing systemic racism and socioeconomic inequality have a direct impact on individuals’ and communities’ capacity for resilience. Together with our partners, we are working toward a world where wellbeing, in the broadest sense of the world, is available to all.
