Writing for Green (WFG) leverages the intrinsic knowledge, skills, and experiences of the community leaders and organizations we serve. Our asset-based training and coaching system equips environmental justice leaders with the skills and tools to access the funding needed to maximize the impact of their work.
WFG’s participatory training modules are designed to help clients develop the wide range of competencies necessary for effective grant-fundraising – how to use storytelling in persuasive writing; managing workflow across a proposal preparation team; creating and presenting sound budgets and evaluation plans; and more. These live, virtual trainings include only ~10 students per session, to optimize engagement and active learning pedagogies. All sessions involve individual and small group work, hands-on exercises, and peer-to-peer feedback. In-person group trainings can also be arranged. An Online, self-directed course which mirrors our live course is also available.
