Writing for Green (WFG) helps community-based organizations and leaders turn vision into impact. We build on the intrinsic knowledge, skills, and lived experience that already exist within the communities we serve—using an asset-based approach to strengthen organizational capacity, expand funding access, and design programs that deliver measurable, lasting results.
Our training and coaching system equips environmental justice and frontline leaders with the tools to:
-
Develop high-impact, fundable programs using logic models and results-based frameworks
-
Diversify revenue through grants, donor engagement, and earned-income social enterprises
-
Strengthen storytelling and persuasive writing to inspire funders and partners
-
Build realistic budgets and evaluation plans that connect activities to outcomes
WFG’s participatory training modules are small, hands-on, and practical. Each live virtual cohort includes about 10 participants to maximize engagement, peer learning, and individualized feedback. In-person group trainings can also be arranged. An on-demand, self-paced online course—mirroring our live sessions—is available for individuals or teams who prefer flexible learning.
